Will a potential employer be able to see my misdemeanor charge? 1 Answers as of March 30, 2011

I was convicted of a misdemeanor in Oregon which has been expunged. This was a nonviolent, not serious crime. I was wondering if I apply to work with children in the state will the employer be able to see that conviction?

Usually expunged charges don't show up. But some private firms that run background checks don't update their files regularly, so, sometimes old expunged records still appear in a search.
