Will a misdemeanor leaving the scene of incident affect my green card application? 1 Answers as of April 13, 2015

I'm facing the charge for leaving the scene of incident which I think is a class E misdemeanor and the other person has minor injury. I have my 2-year green card and still under marriage with my wife. Will it affect my green card and if I found guilty, would I be able to apply for my 10 year green card? Thanks.

I don't know the answer to that as I believe we are in different states and criminal law is a State law matter. So, please lawyer-up on the criminal end and take care of this issue as it can very well come back to bit you.
