There are many variables that would go into answering this question, which you did not provide. It can depend on the county the case is in, the facts of the case (who was the money or item allegedly stolen from), who is the judge, who is the prosecutor, how long ago was the prior offense, are you still on probation for the prior offense, etc. That being said, it is fairly unlikely a person would go to jail in a theft case like that.
