Will a drug offense affect my ability to be petitioned into the US as an immigrant? 1 Answers as of February 23, 2011

My fiance and I are in the process of filing for the 129I petition. But before we do so, I want to make sure we've considered all the angles so we do not get denied. We just want to be together and married. My US citizen fiance has a drug related criminal record from 7 years ago and got 3 years probation then. Will that affect his petition in any way? It was his first and only charge. I would really appreciate your suggestions on this matter. Thank you.
