Will dropped criminal charges appear on my background check? 4 Answers as of July 29, 2011

I am 16, I have been arrested twice due for domestic violence. Both times the charges were dropped , and I didnt have to go to court or anything. I am currently in the process of becoming an employee for Sears. All they need to do is run a criminal background check, my question is if this will appear in the background check?

If you're not sure what will appear on your background check, visit the FDLE website and run one for $24. Then you'll know. Typically, as an adult, all dismissed charges will appear unless/until expunged. As a juvenile, it *shouldn't*

Arrests show on background checks regardless of outcome. The only thing which may shield your arrests is that they were juvenile arrests.
