Will denial of visitation outside of my residence going to affect my rights in court? Posted on August 02, 2011

I have a two year old and his father and I do not have a custody agreement. His father has not ask me straight out to see him, but keeps threatening to take me to court for custody. I will not let my son go with his father away from my home, because he has been arrested in the last month for a driving on a suspended (dui related) and has been convicted of a dui, two driving on suspended, and an open container in the last year. I also dont approve of his fathers new girlfriend who has three children and had two taken by the state of for being unfit. Should I worry that my denial of visitation outside of my residence is going to effect me if he decides to take me to court?
