Who is responsible for the loss of business if the consumer had no control over where the product was taken? Posted on August 08, 2011

What is the legality? Company sells consumer a piece of metal that he mills & returns to be chromed. Consumer has also contacted the chroming company of his preference to be scheduled. Such order is returned with metal. Selling company, at his own discretion, chooses a different chroming company. The original chroming company has a loss in business. Who is responsible for the loss of business since the consumer had no control over where his metal was actually taken to?
