When do traffic tickets have to be sent to the driver by? Posted on February 24, 2011
I received a photo radar speeding ticket in January of this year. The citation was not issued until 39 days after the alleged incident and the one that actually came in the mail didn't come until 46 days after the incident. I feel like this is unfair because how am I supposed to recall whether or not speed limit signs were obstructed, or other factors of the day? How long do the police/photo enforcement have to send me my ticket? Can I appeal this because of how long it took for the citation to be issued and sent?
