What will happen if I rear-ended someone on a suspended license? 2 Answers as of February 15, 2011

I rear-ended somebody this past weekend. I have a suspended license due to unpaid fines. At the scene of the accident we just traded information and went about our ways. I am wondering if my insurance will still cover the accident and if I am in any kind of trouble for the suspended license.

Whether or not the insurance company will cover the accident is a matter of contract. I think the carrier is obligated. You could be facing some problems for driving on a suspended license. I doubt it as it seems no one called the cops. So no report to be sent to DA.
