What steps can I take so the dad is totally out of the picture? Posted on January 27, 2012

My baby's dad left me and my son for his first born. He has three children total, one he pays child support on, the other stays with him, and mine, he has not given me a dime for since he's been gone, or called. I want to get 100% custody of my son, take off the father's last name because my son has both mine and his, and have the father sign his rights over. I don't get child support, nor want it, I just want the father totally out of the picture because he abandoned us and obviously wants nothing to do with our child, which I'm okay with. We were not married and he has left many times before this. How would I go about getting this done and could the father try to turn it around and be in the picture? I want nothing to do with him and I would like to know options I have where I wouldn't have to see him or speak to him. We also live in the same state.
