Contact the police department immediately and pull your child immediately out of the facility. Some alleged criminal conduct may result in civil litigation in addition to criminal charges. Generally, personal attorneys handle a lot of the types of claims which may also involve alleged criminal conduct. However, the criminal portion of any case needs to be pursued by the police or applicable responding governmental agency.

Depends on the nature of the abuse and whether or not you are a mandated reporter. If it is in the nature of a criminal act perpetrated against the child, such as molest or assaults, you actually report it to the local law enforcement. You also could report it to the licencing bureau for dy cay centers. If the child is yours, in addition to the above agencies, you shoould talk to a personal injury attorney . But collect the evidence available and, again if your child, remove the child from the daycare.

Thank you for your inquiry. Child abuse is a crime, thus you should report it to your local police and/or DCYF. If your child is being abused, and you are interested in suing the daycare facility, you should contact an attorney who practices in the area of civil litigation, such as personal injury.

Child abuse is a criminal offense which should be reported to the police or a complaint sworn out to a magistrate. The parents likely have several civil causes of action against the day care provider and should consult with a personal injury attorney.

If you believe abuse is occurring you are obligated to report to DCYF. It is a misdemeanor if you fail to report. I don't believe you need a lawyer unless you are seeking to sue day care on behalf of your child, then it would be a personal injury lawyer.

I suggest you go directly to the police about this matter. The only time you need an attorney in this situation is if you plan to sue for money damages. I would not get an attorney, even if you plan to sue, until the criminal case is underway. If you get a civil attorney at this time, your motive to make the complaint would be suspect.

I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing such a devastating occurrence with your child. You need to do two things: 1. Contact the police and district attorney's office regarding the abuse. They will handle the criminal side of things. 2. Find a good personal injury attorney in your area to deal with the civil side of your case.

The first thing you need to do is remove the child from the center. The next step is to report the place to the agency that regulates day care centers. As for an attorney, almost anyone that does tort law (personal injury and the like) should be able to handle the case.

You should immediately - not after you talk to an attorney, right now, like yesterday - get that kid out of there. I am speaking as if what you are stating is true and accurate - a child is indeed being abused in the facility. If you believe that 100% gwet that kid out of there and report the facility to Child Protective Services. if you don't like what they say call the police. Why do you need a lawyer - because the business will deny the charges and possibly sue you for slander? That's why you have to be sure when you make allegations of the natue you are now contemplating. However, if there is a child you think is being abused I hope and pray you will do something to make sure the child is protected.

A personal injury attorney. We have a couple of similar cases right now. You would bring claims for assault and negligence against the employee who is abusing your child, and you would bring claims of negligent hiring, negligent training, negligent supervision, etc against the daycare itself. This is important because negligence claims against the facility will be covered by their insurance policy whereas the individual employee probably does not have any insurance.
