What remedy does a creditor have other than garnishment? Posted on February 10, 2011

My daughter's car was repossessed a couple of years ago. I was a co-signer on the loan. We are now being sued for payment of the deficit, interest, etc. (approx $5k), and neither of us are able to pay. She works as a waitress, and her paychecks are $0, because of withholding. (She made less than $15k in 2009.) I am self- employed, and made less than $10k in 2009. If a judgment is filed against us, what remedy will the creditor have, since garnishment is not possible? (The only asset either of us own is a 13 year old car.) We live in Georgia.
