What is the obligation of Seller regarding the Sale of Vehicle? Posted on May 07, 2011

If the buyer of a vehicle agrees to purchase it in "AS IS" condition and agrees to be responsible for smog certification of said vehicle and it is so stated in the "Bill of Sale" along with the verbiage that the seller is no longer legally liable for said vehicle as of the date and time so stipulated on the Bill of Sale and both Buyer and Seller sign said "Bill of Sale" and vehicle has now been in the possession of the Buyer for the last 7 days, is the Seller still legally liable to provide smog certification for vehicle?
