What happens when the plaintiff does not respond and/or comply with the Production of Documents prior to the trial? 1 Answers as of March 15, 2016

I am being sued in Civil Court by an illegal citizen, who has been in the US illegally for over 10 years. The plaintiff has absolutely no documents to support his case. I request for a Production of Documents, and the plaintiff did not respond within 30 days of the request. The plaintiff said that he isn't obligated to give me this information. However, from what I can gather online, the plaintiff should provide all evidence against me (if any) prior to the trial. The plaintiff is not sending anything. Are there any stipulations or consequences?
