What happens when the District Attorney does not approve a private criminal complaint? Posted on February 03, 2011

I had a Private Criminal Complaint filed against my daughter for harassment. I received a notice from the local Magistrate's office for a hearing date that included the paperwork that the affiant completed. This paper work did not show approval or disapproval from the county DA's office, however, it was approved by the Magistrate. Is this grounds for a dismissal because it did not follow the PA Rules of Criminal Procedure that is it never went to the DA's office for approval?
