If someone's parents bought their kid a car and it was paid in full and in thier name and their child was caught selling drugs from it, without the parent having any idea what their kid was doing, do the parents eventually get the car back after all the fees are paid? The law is that a parent should not lose a car if they had no idea it was being used in drug-related crimes, but practically speaking this can be hard to prove and the DA may try to take your car anyhow.

Under the laws of forfeiture, there is clearly a nexus between the crime and the car. You will likely need to hire counsel to research/prepare/argue a Petition for Return of Personalty and present proof of title, etc. to "win" its return.
