What happens to an expunged record? 1 Answers as of April 07, 2011

If I am getting a non conviction domestic violence charge expunged will they take it off my record most of the time? Plus do I need a lawyer? I know they have a form to fill out on the GBI website but is that all there is to it?

What is a non-conviction domestic violence charge? I recognize you were arrested. After you were arrested were you offerred pre-trial diversion? Pre-trial means you have a non-conviction. Were you offerred first offender? That is not a non-conviction. You need to explain the non-conviction.
