What do I do to get a garnishment on my bank accounts lifted? Posted on May 23, 2011

I am an Iowa resident. My checking and savings accounts (same bank) were garnished for a consumer credit debt I do owe. Iowa Code, Ch. 642 and Sections 1672 and 1673 of Title 15, USC, cover the garnishment. The amount owed will be taken care of this Friday, 6/3/2011. The paperwork says Garnishment should continue until 7/8/2011. Since the amount owed will be met earlier than the July date, what are my rights to having this garnishment lifted? How do I regain control of my accounts?
