What is the difference between a restraining order and a no contact order? 3 Answers as of March 24, 2013

I am just wondering because my ex won't leave me alone and I feel the only way she will is if I take some sort of legal action and I don't know which is better or should be used when.

Generally an order of protection can specify are the conditions of the order such as to stay away from a person or place but can have certain type of contact like phone, mail etc or the order can say can not have any contact with the person. You should consult an attorney and discuss whether you should try to get an order of protection and if so the conditions.
