What could happen with our pension case? Posted on February 22, 2012

There are three of us (administration) that belong to the same defined benefit pension plan (union crew and office). A settlement was given after an error was found in the union contract (lasting over twenty years) by ruling of an arbitrator. All current retirees received a 1/30th multiplier(including our predecessors) instead of the argued 1/80th multiplier. The rest of the union members settled for 10,000 each and signed a statement that the pension multiplier would be 1/80th. The Authority ignore us 3, who were told at our hiring that all benefits mirrored the union contract and that the pension multiplier was 1/30th. We have filed a lawsuit against the Authority (Municipal Water Authority) about our 1/30th multiplier. How do you see this ending?
