What is considered tortuous interference with a contract? Posted on May 04, 2011

Is it considered tortuous interference with a contract if someone is in a lease renting from somebody? And that person intentionally decides that they will terminate the lease and deal with all possible problems arising from that, and that person is trying to get qualified for a home loan, through a broker. Once qualified that person buys the home and breaches the contract with the landlord. Is it considered tortuous interference on the Brokers part for doing the paperwork on the loan? Even if the broker never persuaded the person to breach the contract, did not do anything that intentionally made the person breach the contract, and the person was ready to break the lease contract before hand and deal with the problems arising from that.
