What can we do regarding month to month leases? Posted on March 19, 2011

Our tenant, who is on a month to month lease, just gave notice today, 3/19/2011 that he is moving out and giving us his 30 day notice. He wants his rent to be prorated until 4/19/2011. We think he should pay the entire month as it is a month to month lease and not a day to day lease.
