I have physical custody of cousin's kids because the mother is on drugs. She wants them back, but I feel it is in the best interest if the kids stay with me. The mother was a drug addict. The case was open in SC, but me and children live in NJ. I've had the children going on 3 years and the mother still hasn't gotten herself together to have these kids. I fear for their safety and well being.
