What can I do if my lawyer did not prevent my default eviction? Posted on February 17, 2011

I hired an eviction lawyer for the initial answer on my case before it went into default. I was given a packet, talked about the case, and was told to come back in 2 weeks after the answer was set and see if I wanted to be represented. I called today before I went in and my case was in default. The lawyer said I was supposed to turn in all of the paper work and I did not and that is why it is in default. Isn’t this why he was hired? Is there anything I can do at this point?
