What can I do if insurance refuses to pay for a lost phone? Posted on February 09, 2011

My question is about phone insurance. I know that if a phone is lost there is a deductible that has to be paid. But when it comes to a phone being stolen, isn't the point of having this insurance is that they replace the phone for free? Also, if not, then what is the point of having to turn in a police report before they will replace a phone? They are trying to charge the same amount of money to replace a stolen phone as they are a lost phone, this doesn't seem correct to me, can someone please explain if this is legal or not?
