What can I do if I received a firm job offer and resigned and then the position was rescinded? Posted on May 26, 2011

I received a firm job offer from a company based out of CA but the position was overseas....Federal Contractor. I resigned from my position and was later advised that my deployment would be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks but I would still deploy. The delay lasted 3 months, in which I regularly sent correspondence and was still advised I had a firm position. Nevertheless, after 3 months they rescinded their job offer because they lost the government contract. Do I have a claim? I have been unemployed for 8 months now with no unemployment. Please help!
