What can happen to me if my debt is discharged? Posted on July 28, 2011
In late 2009 I filed for bankruptcy. In March of 2010 I received a Final Decree stating that "The Debtor is granted a discharge, the estate of the above named debtor (me) has been fully administered." I took this to mean that the bankruptcy had been approved in final. Since this time, I have moved from Florida (residency when bankruptcy filed) to Pennsylvania where I live with a friend. I have been unemployed the entire period with exception of one month of summer work at Lowes. I have since received a Order for Default, Motion for Default, a Certificate of Service, from the 13th Judicial Circuit of Florida/Hillsborough County due to proceedings brought against me from the law firm. I don't have a lawyer, What is the worse that can happen to me?
