What are the chances of someone fixing his status without having someone file a petition for him? 1 Answers as of April 04, 2011

A cousin was from Mexico came to the states with his mom at the age of 13, and has lived here since. He has a little debt and one ticket for driving without insurance, has kids (none with a condition), has worked and payed taxes every year. What are the chances of him fixing his status without having someone file a petition for him? How expensive is it and how long would the process be?

It is possible because he has children who are citizens. Depending on dificulty deporting him will impose on them, the judge may grant him a green card. But you need a lawyer to handle your case, for sure.
