I was recently cited for criminal mischief and was wondering why I would need to go to our local police barracks for fingerprinting. Am I obligated to give them my fingerprints? I thought criminal mischief was just a misdemeanor? How long will it stay on my record and what will if prevent me from doing with it on my record?
