Should we take the makers of a tanning lotion in court in Massachusetts if we know it caused our daughters death? 2 Answers as of January 28, 2011

Is there anything that we can do in court about this loss? Our 17-year-old daughter died because she used Tingle tanning lotion with her friends this past summer and had a very bad reaction. When she realized it was the lotion that got her sick, she decided to go home to wash off the lotion, passed out in the tub and drowned before we found her. The two girls that tanned with her also got very sick after tanning.

If there is a direct causal relationship between the tanning lotion and your daughters death then you could have a potential wrongful death lawsuit. This type of suit would be incredibly complex and you would need to speak with an experienced product liability attorney.
