Should we release hospital information to the insurance company? Posted on March 28, 2011
If a child was injured on his grandparents property and the grandfather opened a claim with the insurance. Then the mother of the injured boy submitted fake medical bills (not records) and was paid by the insurance company. Now the insurance company has hired a law firm and the law firm is asking her to sign a release of information for the hospital. Should she sign it even though no records will be found? What should she do and what is the procedure now and what will happen to the grandparents who opened the claim. The purpose of the release of information is 3rd party liability claim.
