Should I file for bankruptcy because I have no job? 2 Answers as of November 18, 2010

My company just fired me 4 months ago and they did not let me collect unemployment. I am 50 years old and I do not where to turn. My savings have been gone and I cannot afford to pay for my home, car or any bills. Will filing for bankruptcy help me? I want to weigh my options and I do not want my credit and future financial situation to be scarred because of this all.

Filing bankruptcy does not generate income for you. If you have debts you need to resolve, bankruptcy is an option you should consider.
