My property was seized from my girlfriend's home, is that legal? 1 Answers as of February 06, 2012

While I was at boot camp, my laptop was seized from my girlfriend's home. I did not reside there. There was no warrant, but she was forced to hand over the laptop. She gave them the equipment. Was it legal for them to take that equipment?

It may not be legal, and you should consult with an attorney as soon as possible to get your property back. The number one question is why did the police seize your computer Did they suspect that you had something on the computer, or was it a general inquiry You should get your computer back as soon as possible to prevent the police from searching through your harddrive, which could damage your harddrive if not done properly.
