Generally, if the payment was not for alimony or child support, you need to either ask the court to cite him for contempt or seek a judgment that can be enforced by normal garnishment procedures against any funds he might have in a bank. If the payment was for child support or alimony, there are simplified procedures to have funds collected from his pay and you can still pursue contempt procedures.
