You should contact the district attorney with or without a lawyer and tell the district attorney what is going on. You should also not have any contact with your ex boyfriend.

If he's violating the protective order than that's a serious offense. Go to the police.

You can call the police and have him arrested for violating the order of protection. Even though you may have kept in contact with him after the order of protection was issued, he can still be arrested for violating the order, since you cannot override an official order issued by the court. In short, call the police now.

The first thing you should do is to study the English language and learn how to read and write. This is essential to your success in your personal and professional life. Second, you must learn to make good decisions on who you associate with and what you do for a living. Third, you had an Order of Protection which you violated by continuing to associate with a man who abused you. I do not know what he is threatening to tell the authorities, but if you have committed crimes that you do not want the police to know about you should retain an attorney to handle the matter. If you are indigent (that means poor) you probably cannot afford to hire a lawyer. In that event you should tell him that you no longer want to associate with him and that if he contacts you it will violate the Order of Protection. Also advise him that extortion is a felony and record your conversation as proof. Most blackmailers are manipulative criminals who are just making empty threats to get you to do as they want. Without more information I cannot give you specific advice, but I have tried to steer you in the right direction. This man is not your real problem in life, the real problem is your lack of maturity, communication skills, career skills, and sophistication. Without these skills you will keep making poor decisions and have no quality of life. You have to be very well educated to be successful in life unless you are stunning and can marry a millionaire or win the lottery.

Any threat to you should be reported to the local Police. Your Temporary Restraining order should detail that he is not allowed to contact you directly or through third persons, even if you say it's ok - it's not. You should contact the police immediately.

If he is threatening you while there is an order of protection in place, then that violates the order. Under Penal Law Section 215.51 he can be charged with a felony for Criminal Contempt. You should report this to your local precinct.
