It's "discovery". The State is required to give you copies of all evidence they have against you (police reports, photos, videos, witness statements, your statements to police, etc). Similarly, the State is entitled to ask for and receive copies of some of your evidence as well, although it is much more limited. For example, you have to show alibi evidence if you intend to raise that as a defense, and you have to give them a list of the witnesses you intend to call.
