I was driving my mom’s car and got a DUI. I blew a .288. Will it give me jail time?

If you are a named insured on your moms car insurance, the car insurance amount will likely increase. But you can exclude yourself from being a driver of her car. However, with a BAC over .15, if your license is revoked (which is very likely) you will need SR22? insurance (high risk, expensive insurance) to be reinstated and need to have an Interlock device (blow into it before the car starts) for two years on any car you drive. Also, with a BAC over .2 you will be sentenced to a term of jail of at least 10 days (can be served as in home detention). Hire a lawyer!
