Is this considered misconduct or mistreatment? Posted on April 24, 2011
I had been seeing a podiatrist for Plantar Fasciitis. The doctor's treatment was steroid injections into my heels. I recieved three injection in each foot, per week for over a month. The procedure was done in a "community" area where 3-6 other people were recieving the same injections (similiar to an assembly line). When I told my doctor that the symptoms were worsening, and causing other symtoms (emotional) he insisted this was the best treatment. I later researched the injections and found that too many could be harmful for my health. My doctor, upon request, would not offer any other treatment options. Would this be considered misconduct or mistreatment?
