Is there a way to expunge or drop charges for a pedestrian under the influence in Georgia? I received a citation and have to appear in court. Is there any way to have this dropped prior to going to court.

You could hire an attorney who could contact the prosecutor. They probably will not drop it without going to court.

The best time to try to keep a conviction off your record is before or at court. Many people contact me after they have plead or been found guilty. It is often too late after the fact. So, if you really want to avoid a conviction, interview some criminal defense lawyers in your county and hire one to handle this case. Good luck.
