I am in the middle of filing for a bankruptcy and trying to get my record expunged. Is it possible to do this? Does one really affect the other?

They are unrelated. However, the felony must have been dismissed or you must have been found not guilty in order to be eligible for expunction.

I don't know the relation between the two. However the AL Department of Pardons and Parole has instructions for the application on their website. In my opinion your odds are better if you utilize the services of an attorney.

A bankruptcy filing has no connection to an expungement request. You can try to get the exungement whether you file for bankruptcy or not.
