My uncle got 15 years for child molesting his girlfriends daughter. There was no evidence and his girlfriend was still seeing him. Is it possible to appeal a case in Texas after there was a plea bargain?

Generally, a plea bargain serves as a bar to any appeals unless it relates to a previously ruled on motion or the court punishes beyond the plea bargain and does not allow the defendant to withdraw his/her plea of guilty. Unless there were either of these circumstances, the chances are that the plea bargain served as a waiver of appellate rights. This is practically true because of the judicial confession, but also true because the plea will probably have included a waiver of appellate rights.
