Is it possible to annul a divorce? 8 Answers as of November 17, 2010

My husband and I have been divorced for a year, but now we want to get remarried. Is it possible to annul the divorce like you would annul a marriage? We do not want to have any sort of wedding again, and it seems to me like it would be easier to just undo the divorce. Is this the case, or would it be easier to get remarried?

You cannot "annul" or set aside a divorce judgment unless you file a motion to vacate the judgment based upon fraud. This does not apply to your situation. Therefore, you must simply go to the office of the County Recorder and complete the marriage paperwork, plus pay the fee. The two of you can then simply meet with a witness and a minister or other person lawfully able to solemnize the marriage. Then provide the County Recorder the paperwork signed by the minister that solemnized the marriage.
