My ex boyfriend who is 19 years old hit me in my chest and hit me in my arms and nearly punched me in my face when I was 16 and he was 18. Is that considered domestic violence and should I file a restraining order against him?

If there is offensive or unwanted physical contact then technically it is an assault. if you want to press criminal charges and get an order of protection you need to talk to a prosecuting attorney. The prosecutor however, may decline to pres charges since it happened a while ago ( maybe the statute of limitation to file criminal charges is expired. You should consult an attorney if you want to pursue it.

It is an assault- it's criminal and you can tell the police- but if it was a long time ago don't expect any action by them.

If you are having sex with a man at your age he is guilty of statutory rape. If he hits you he is a violent coward that belongs in Domestic Violence Court. He is guilty of assault and he should be arrested and prosecuted. You should find another boyfriend who is kins, intelligent, successful, and will treat you with respect. He will continue to hit and abuse every woman he dates because he has poor communication skills and id immature and manipulative.
