Is it legal to volunteer your spouse for the military? Posted on July 17, 2011

My and her husband are both LVNs in the US army. She stated that she told an officer that her husband wanted to be assigned to a convoy mission from Kuwait to Iraq; he has now been ordered to take part in the convoy mission. She knows that Iraq is relatively dangerous and volunteered him for that specific reason. Is there any legal actions that can be taken against her, especially if her husband is injured? My friendship with her is ending as this behavior is unethical and she is knowingly placing her husband in danger. My family and close friend were present while she said what she did. I plan to record a conversation with her about this matter.
