Is it legal to not be notified about a court date even when you didn’t get a ticket and get a warrant for your arrest? 3 Answers as of December 02, 2014

I got a warrant for my arrest and it was a complete surprise to me. It was an open intoxication thing. They said I missed my court date yet I wasn't notified by any means that I even had a court date. How would I know to go or when to go or why to go?

If the court personnel had you current address, you would have been notified. You said no ticket or any form given to you, which generally includes steps you take. Best thing to do is take care of the warrant.
