Is it legal that a company switches your account on paperless without asking you first? Posted on July 11, 2011I am renting an apartment in Cleveland area. The company that manages the building has a third part company that manages the utilities bill and send the bill out. This company decided to switch its billing system on paperless for each person that has an e-mail associated with the account. They said that they send an e-mail and a letter letting us know about the fact that they switched our account on paperless. I did not receive any letter and the e-mail that they sent went directly to spam most likely. Consequently I run in some trouble because of this automatic switched.
My question is: Is it legal that a company switches your account on paperless without asking you first?
