Is it legal for a police officer to pull their gun on you because they thought you matched a suspect's description? Posted on February 07, 2011

The other night I had a gun pulled on me by a police officer. They said that they should I matched the description of a homicide suspect in the area. I am a white male who was wearing a knee length black jacket at the time. The suspects were an African American man wearing a black peacoat with earwarmers, and the second was a Caucasian male with a red jacket and a tattoo under his eye. I clearly did not mat the description of either suspect. Can I take legal action against the officer or the police department for pulling a gun on me for no reason?
