Is it lawful for a judge to revoke bond? Posted on April 19, 2011

In the State of Indiana, is it lawful for a judge to revoke bond when my brother has never been accused of breaking his bond, he was wearing an ankle bracelet for the entire time and showed up on his court date? However, when my sister-in-law went to get the funds, (which she paid in cash off her credit card) they said she couldn't have them because the judge had revoked the bond during his trial. Fortunately my sister-in-law went there with my brothers new lawyer, and he got the judge to reinstate it and give her money back. But how can a judge just do that? It's like she is out to get my brother for no reason at all. She has him sitting in jail right now so it's not like he's a risk of any kind. Aren't there laws about judges showing biased like this?
