Is it illegal for my employer to break his promise about bonuses? Posted on February 09, 2011

My employer promised a bonus of 1500 for a certain amount of sales. Everyone met the quota, we were paid 1000. Then this quarter he raised the expectations significantly, we all worked double as hard, now half way through the quarter he changes the rules again and adds more work. Is this legal? I complained a bit and I am afraid that I will be fired.
