A warrant in that amount can be for a number of things. If you contact the court or even a police department by phone they will probably tell you. To clear it up and get a court date you will either need to post bail or calendar the matter for a court appearance which probably would require the assistance of an attorney. If you do not do these things you will eventually be arrested.

You should hire a lawyer to go to court to recall the warrant. A lawyer can do this without you present if the underlying charge is a misdemeanor, so it is less risky for you.
